  • DC Comics has announced their major event for 2015. Convergence will be split into forty connected two-part miniseries, each with different artists and writers. It will play out over a 9 week period in April and May next year. More on that in our Talking Point following the headlines
  • Meanwhile, Marvel Comics continues its summer 2015 teases with X-Men ’92, seemingly based on the fan-favourite animated series of the 1990s
  • Hans Zimmer and Junkie XL have confirmed that they will re-team for the soundtrack to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice
  • Peggy Carter has been confirmed to appear in next year’s Ant-Man, potentially interacting with Hank Pym in flashback sequences
  • Speaking of Agent Carter, Costa Ronin joins the cast as a young Anton Vanko, the father of Mickey Rourke’s Ivan Vanko from Iron Man 2.
  • Will Simmons has been drafted to script the adaptation of Boom! Studios’ Day Men for Universal
  • Skyward creator and G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero artist Jeremy Dale passed away this week at the age of 34
  • Finally, Marvel has also announced their big crossover event, showcasing Secret Wars: Battleworld, bringing together events and realities from across the years.
