– Marvel’s Iron Man 3 is poised to break $1 billion globally, having already taken $950 million as of the week beginning 13 May 2013. It’s the highest grossing film set at Christmas since Home Alone.
– DC cancels 3 more titles in August: Dial H, Demon Knights and Legion of Super-Heroes
– DC also announced that they would also release a DCU vs. Masters of the Universe series. You heard right: Superman vs. He-Man.
– Still on DC, the surprising announcement that Grant Morrison would team Yanick Paquette for all-new graphic novel Wonder Woman: Earth One
The Archie Comics ongoing series Kevin Keller was announced as this year’s winner for Outstanding Comic Book at GLAAD Media Awards.
– Australia’s Gestalt Comics announced that Tom Taylor and Colin Wilson’s The Example is getting a Polish language edition, expanding Australia’s comic presence in Europe
– Adult Swim has announced a Robot Chicken DC Special II on the way!
– Marvel are sending their own comic Big Hero 6 to Walt Disney Studios Animation for the first big screen animated adaptation of one of their own comics!
– Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD TV series has been officially picked up for series. They teased their first look this week.
