News Headlines
- The CW will introduce The Flash in a 3-part episode of Arrow: Season 2 as a backdoor pilot to a new series starring the DC Comics speedster
- GRAPHIC 2013 has been announced at the Sydney Opera House in October. Guests will include Grant Morrison, Gerard Way, Art Spiegelman, Dave McKean, Len Wein and Robot Chicken live!
- A direct-to-video adaptation of Image Comics’ Chew is being planned, with a potential live action series to follow.
- Samuel L. Jackson is to play the villain in Matthew Vaughn’s take on Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons’ graphic novel The Secret Service.
- Miles Teller is reported to be the front runner to play Reed Richards in the Fantastic Four reboot from Fox.
- Oz Comic-Con has added William Shatner, Gigi Edgley, Jason Momoa and Chris Judge to the inaugural Brisbane and Sydney legs of the the 2014 circuit. See you there!
- Finally, Australia’s ABC2 will screen the 2-part documentary Comic Book Heroes, the inside story of Gestalt Comics’ attempts to crack the US market. Here’s the trailer:
