  • Preacher has been officially announced as an upcoming TV show on AMC, produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg
  • Paul Bettany will play The Vision in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron
  • DC Comics has announced Geoff Johns and John Romita Jr, as the new creative team on Superman this US summer. Legendary artist Klaus Janson will also join the series as inker.
  • Marvel extends its international presence with the new Global Comics app, offering their most popular stories in 12 different languages
  • Calvin and Hobbes creator Bill Watterson has taken out the Grand Prix prize at the 41st Angoulême International Comics Festival in France. Come Prima by Alfred took out the award for Best Album.
  • Warner Animation has confirmed it will release three DC films a year, including a “shared universe” between the flagship releases
  • Oz Comic-Con has announced that they will be partnering with ReedPOP, the people behind New York Comic-Con, for upcoming events.
  • Nick Lowe will trade mutants for webs as he moves to the role of Senior Editor of the Spider-man titles at Marvel
  • Fox has announced that Ben McKenzie, best known for The OC and Southland, in the key role of a young Jim Gordon.
  • Candice Patton has been cast as Iris West in CW’s The Flash. As reported last week, Jesse L. Martin will play Iris’s father Detective West.
  • Meanwhile, Carlos Valdes will join the show as Cisco Ramon, better known as Justice League of America’s Vibe
  • Marc Webb has revealed that BJ Novak will play Alistair Smythe in The Amazing Spider-man 2.
  • Finally, among the many Superb Owl trailer releases, the one that has us squeeing in excitement is undoubtedly the new trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Let’s do a trailer commentary.
