What is this? A trailer for ants? - Zoolander

Those folks at Marvel are marketing wizards. Teasing the first trailer for the upcoming Ant-Man, they’ve released a version online that can only be viewed by ants.

The full “human sized” teaser trailer will be screened during Agent Carter, when it debuts on 6 January 2015 in the US. For now, eagle-eyed viewers can spot a few frames of footage from the forthcoming trailer.

Beyond a single image released back in August, and a few pieces of concept art debuted at SDCC last year, this will be the first glimpse that the general public have been given of the trouble production.

The film’s long development began back in 2006, when formerly attached director Edgar Wright first expressed interest in the film. Following a holdiong pattern of sorts, work began in force from 2011 with Wright intending to directing a script he co-wrote with Joe Cornish. However, in May last year, he and Marvel jointly announced that Wright would be leaving the production due to “differences in their vision of the film”. Wright was soon replaced with Peyton Reed, with Adam McKay reworking Wright and Cornish’s original screenplay.

Ant-Man is still due for release on 17 July 2015 from Disney, on full-sized Giant Man sized screens.
