If there was every any doubt that Guardians of the Galaxy was the breakthrough hit of the year, then Marvel’s announcement that Rocket Raccoon and Groot will take over the variant covers of November’s slate is further proof.
The 20 variant covers will come from the likes of Chip Zdarsky, Tom Fowler, Ulises Farinas, Sandford Greene, James Stokoe and Dustin Ngyuen. Some of them play on classic covers, such as Tom Fowler’s take on the legendary Bob Layton cover from Iron Man #128 (1979).
