Highlights from Image Comics October 2013 Solicitations – Pretty Deadly, Velvet, Rocket Girl, Three, Bushido

Pretty Deadly #1 cover

Image Comics (via CBR) has released their full solicitations for October 2013, including five brand new titles for the month.

The one we are perhaps looking forward to the most is Kelly Sue DeConnick‘s Pretty Deadly, which she described to us in detail a few months again. It sounds like the most interesting new release of the year, and it has already been a massive year for Image. Velvet was announced last week, as part of the ImageExpo solicits. Brandon Montclare and Amy Reeder’s Rocket Girl sounds like a fascinating trip in time travel, while the spectre of Frank Miller is sure to loom large in discussions around Kieron Gillen, Ryan Kelly and Jordie Bellaire’s Three. Finally, Bushido not only launches in October, but Rob Levin and Studio Hive will bring all five issues throughout October.

Also of note for the month is that  Frank J. Barbiere’s Five Ghosts is now an ongoing series from issue #6! We voted this as one of our Best Comics of 2013…so far. Fans of The Walking Dead can look forward to a 10th annniversary edition of issue #1, the Tyrese Special and  ihardcover.

Check your headline — Marvel should be Image.

    1. Thanks, Kelly-Sue! The disadvantage to working off a template at the wee hours of the Australian timezone have become apparent 🙂

Many thanks for reading too. We’ll have to catch up with you again closer to the release of the book.
