Inhumanity is the next big event following the conclusion of Infinity, and we’ve already seen some of impact of that event in the pages of Infinity and its tie-ins. Marvel has released a propaganda style poster with art by Juan Doe, urging the citizens of the Marvel universe to “Be Vigilant”.
Originally announced back in July, it promises that it will “jumpstart a long-dormant genetic inhuman strain. It leads into a global crisis overnight in the middle of, and coming out from Infinity.” Fraction has also previously said: “Our focus characters are drawn into the palace intrigue of this shattered Inhumans Royal family. It becomes a superhero story and a mythical story, all revolving around turning the world into a world full of superheroes. It’s giving us a chance to get back to a classic Marvel metaphor of alienation. We’re telling science-fiction stories, but really it’s about race, gender, sexual equality. It’s a very relevant, pertinent metaphor.”
The Inhuamnity #1 one-shot is due out in December.
