Kevin Feige plans Marvel Studios films through to 2021

With three mystery films already announced for 2016 and 2017, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has told WIRED that their plans extend well beyond that date.

“I could arguably say what we’re planning for the year 2021. Will that happen? I don’t know. But what we planned for 2015 in 2006 is happening.”

Some of the speculation so far has been around the obvious sequels (at least one of which has to be The Avengers 3), but names like Black Panther and Dr. Strange keep getting thrown about. Let’s not forget that Daredevil is now back with the studio, who may be keen to capitalise on that. It’s also entirely possible that one of these will be another sequel.

The current schedule now looks like this (using earlier Australian release dates where applicable):

PHASE 2

31 October 2013 – Thor: The Dark World

3 April 2014 – Captain America: The Winter Soldier

1 August 2014 – Guardians of the Galaxy

1 May 2015 – Avengers: Age of Ultron 2

PHASE 3

6 November 2015 – Ant-Man

8 July 2016 – Untitled Marvel Phase 3 Film

6 May 2016 – Untitled Marvel Phase 3 Film

5 May 2017 – Untitled Marvel Phase 3 Film
