We know that there have been stack of photos of these props floating around the Interwebs since the last week. Now Marvel.com has released some hi-res looks at the props from the upcoming releases of Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
The Guardians of the Galaxy photos are the ones that will be most interesting, as they not only contain our first glimpses of what the Cosmic Cinematic Universe will look like, but are also kind of cool. Star-Lord’s (Chris Pratt) helmet and mask, presumably designed by Brian Muir (who gave us Darth Vader’s helmet in Star Wars) mirrors the comic perfectly, and it is a great giddy fan moment seeing it come to life. The old-school Walkman (had one of those in the ’80s!) is what Star-Lord is listening to (“Hooked On A Feeling”) when he is apprehended by Korath (Djimon Hounsou) for stealing an alien orb (also pictured). Also of interest are the designs for the Nova Corps outfits, less likely to be universally embraced by fans, and Drax the Destroyer’s (Dave Bautista) blades.
From the world of Thor, there’s a close-up look at Thor’s Hammer, Mjolnir and more interestingly The Book of Yggdrasil, open to a page displaying some Dark Elves. There some miscellany from Captain America as well.
