Based on the bestselling DC Comics mini-series Flashpoint, it sees Flash wake up to find that his powers are gone and the world has radically altered around him. He must figure out how to restore the world to the one he knows before it is too late.
In the comics world, this 2011 event led directly into the New 52, a line-wide reboot that still remains in effect two years later. We wonder if this will lead into a series of animated films tying in with the rebooted characters? The animated version features the voices of TV stars Justin Chambers and Kevin McKidd as the Flash and the alternate Batman, along with Michael B. Jordan as Cyborg, C. Thomas Howell as Thawne/Professor Zoom, Nathan Fillion as Hal Jordan/Green Lantern, Ron Perlman as Slade and Deathstroke, Dana Delany as Lois Lane, Cary Elwes as Aquaman, Danny Huston as General Lane, Sam Daly as Superman, and Kevin Conroy as Batman.
It hits shelves in the US on 30 July 2013. It will have its world premiere at Comic-Con in San Diego on Friday 19 July 2013 from 7:30-9:30pm in Ballroom 20 if you happen to be in the neighbourhood.
