Although it was officially announced yesterday with a kind of viral hulk of a 6-second teaser, Marvel/Disney/ABC has now officially officially announced Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., coming at us like a frog in a sock this “Fall” season from ABC.
We’ve got a first official cast photo, featuring Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), highly trained in combat and espionage, Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen) expert pilot and martial artist, Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker); brilliant engineer and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge) genius bio-chemist. Joining them on their journey into mystery is new recruit and computer hacker Skye (Chloe Bennet). The cool dude in the middle is, of course, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), reprising his role from the Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
At least these folks don’t have to wear blue jumpsuits. This is definitely some TV we are looking forward to. Think about it: the next Fall season will see Arrow, The Walking Dead and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Geeks finally took over the world. Rejoice.
