Building on the brilliant Winter City series, Australia’s Winter City Productions is now taking submissions for creator owned projects. In addition to co-founder Patrick Purcell’s upcoming all-ages book Mechanical Knight, with Diego Toro and David Aravena, a brand new title called Left Hand Path will also be launched in June from Jason Franks, Paul Abstruse and Eddy Swan.
This is an amazing opportunity for Australian creators to be part of the booming comics industry, and an encouraging sign from a rapidly growing local independent publisher. Winter City, with its 8th issue due out shortly, was covered on our podcast back in Episode 74.

Winter City Productions will announce their first “Creator Owned” title in the lead up to Sydney Supanova and the first issue will be available in print at the event. Also available at Supanova will be the next instalment of the Winter City series and the debut issue of Mechanical Knight.
