News Headlines
- BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE was announced at Comic-Con International in San Diego as the next big DC animated adaptation.
- Grant Morrison and DC revealed that they will release MULTIVERSITY TOO as a series of standalone graphic novels, starting with The Flash in 2016. Morrison will also pen a sequel to Batman: Black & White, along with becoming the Editor-in-Chief of Heavy Metal Magazine from next year.
- Ben Affleck has been confirmed to direct, star in and co-write the solo BATMAN film with Geoff Johns
- Warner announced at Comic-Con that their Green Lantern film will be called GREEN LANTERN CORPS
- Meanwhile, Earth One will get a little larger as DC announces FLASH: EARTH ONE from J. Michael Straczynski and AQUAMAN: EARTH ONE from Francis Manapul.
- Gerry Duggan and artist Phil Noto will join forces for a CHEWBACCA mini-series from Marvel
- Even more exciting news is that IDW has announced MICRONAUTS and ROM: THE SPACE KNIGHT for 2016
- The old Deadpool team of Joe Kelly and Ed McGuinness will join up again for SPIDER-MAN/DEADPOOL in Fall from Marvel
- After a 25 year hiatus, comic strip BLOOM COUNTY returns just in time for the upcoming US presidential election
- IDW and DC have announced BATMAN: TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES, a six issue team-up series from writer James Tynion IV and artist Freddie E. Williams II
- In other classic crossover news, Archie Comics continues its journey with ARCHIE MEETS THE RAMONES
- Teddy Sears has officially been cast as Jay Garrick for the second season of THE FLASH. Michael Ironside has also been cast as Captain Cold’s father.
- CBS’ SUPERGIRL adds Peter Facinelli as Maxwell Lord
- Stephen Amell took to the stage in a new costume and Comic-Con to announce he will officially be called “Green Arrow” in the fourth season of ARROW. Echo Kellum has also been cast as Mr. Terrific for the season, while Alexander Calvert has landed the recurring role of Anarky
- Vacation writers John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein will pen the upcoming SPIDER-MAN script for diretcor Jon Watts
- Finally, a trailer has been released for the SUICIDE SQUAD movie from director David Ayers. We decide if it’s to die for in one of our patented Trailer Commentaries (Patent Pending)
