Each month, hundreds of comics are released to stores for the hungry masses of fans around the world. To stand out on the shelves, you have to put the great art up front. You can judge a book by its cover.
Welcome back to our continuing monthly column. With almost 40 covers this month, it’s fair to say it’s one of the more prolific months in recent memory.
DC’s Convergence wrapped up this month in suitably Multiverse reshuffling style, with heavy-hitters Amanda Conner, Bill Sienkiewicz and Rafael Albuquerque bringing their distinctive style to the covers. Marvel kicked off their Secret Wars event, but it was their NYC Variants that grabbed our attention throughout May. We’ve grabbed one from Pascal Campion who had some beautiful impressionistic pieces in the series.
However, it might just be Skottie Young who wins the month with a fun shot of Brian Michael Bendis dropping the mic on the cover of Ultimate End. Don’t forget to vote for your favourite in the comments section below! This is COVER STORY.
