The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to get a little more crowded, Disney announces (via Exhibitor Relations) that another new film has been added to their burgeoning superhero roster for 2016.
The untitled film is set for 8 July 2016, although what the film might be is purely speculation at the moment. Disney had already recently announced two other mystery films for 6 May 2016 and 5 May 2017.
Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has previously hinted at a Doctor Strange film, and there are long-standing rumours of a Black Panther film. Let’s not forget that Daredevil is now back with the studio, who may be keen to capitalise on that. It’s also entirely possible that one of these will be another sequel.
Expect more details at either San Diego Comic-Con next month or Disney’s D23 Expo in August.
