“Just another Saturday night.” So begins our first glimpse at Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, Robert Rodriguez’s long-awaiting follow-up to 2005’s Sin City, the visually stunning adaptation of Frank Miller’s series of hard-boiled and gritty slices of pulp heaven.
Featuring almost all of the original cast, the official synopsis keeps the story simple: “Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants.” Adding Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Josh Brolin, Rodriguez and Miller once again co-direct a film that will undoubtedly be stunning to look at.
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is due out on 22 August 2014 in the US, and 21 August 2014 in Australia.
