Marvel debuted a second trailer for AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON today, during the College Football Playoff National Championship game on the Disney owned ESPN. That’s some kind of sport, we imagine.
The new trailer shows a lot more of the Hulbuster/Iron Man and Hulk fight, and hints of the trouble visions that were hinted in previous screenings. It mirrors some of the footage that was reportedly shown to Samsung executives earlier this month. It’s up to Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and the rest of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to save the planet from Ultron (James Spader),
A much darker trailer, it might even be showing the seeds of Civil War. “This vulnerable world,” we hear Tony Stark say. “Needs something more powerful than any of us.” It, along with Nick Fury’s musings on trouble, hints at threads that will undoubtedly picked up in Captain America: Civil War next year. Thor also speaks of meddling with things they don’t understand.
Avengers: Age of Ultron is released on 23 April 2015 in Australia, and 1 May 2015 in the US.
