Marvel Studios has announced their full slate of upcoming film at a special live online event this morning. It confirms the titles and dates of all of the upcoming Marvel Studios films following Ant-Man.
Marvel has confirmed that the anticipated Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Captain Marvel and Inhumans films are on the cinematic slate, along with confirming sequels to the Thor, Captain America, Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers franchises are on the slate. There was, of course, no mention of a fourth Iron Man film, or solo Hulk film, although the latter was confirmed to be appearing in future Avengers films.
The announcement of these 9 new dates seems to parallel DC’s recent announcement of 9 films up to 2020, although Marvel pip their cinematic climax to the post by a year or so.
Without any further ado, they are:
- Avengers: Age of Ultron – 23 April 2015 (AUS)/2 Mat 2015 (US)
- Ant-Man – 17 July 2015
NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS
- Captain America: Civil War – 6 May 2016
- Doctor Strange – 4 November 2016
- Guardians of the Galaxy 2 – 5 May 2017
- Thor: Ragnarok – 28 July 2017

- Captain Marvel – 6 July 2018
- Inhumans – 2 November 2018

Things to note so far include the new release date for Guardians of the Galaxy 2, that Captain Marvel will be the Carol Danvers version and that secret identities aren’t as important in the cinematic Civil War.
More details coming soon.
