Marvel has revealed the first poster (and a motion one if you like shiny things) for the upcoming DAREDEVIL series for Netflix. In addition to being very cool to look at, it shows a release date of 10 April 2015. So put aside 13 hours or so in the weeks leading up to Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Season 1 of DAREDEVIL will drop all “13 one-hour episodes on April 10, 2015 at 12:01 a.m. PT in all territories where Netflix is available”. For those of you close to Behind The Panels’ base of operations, Netflix has confirmed that they will be available in Australia from March, just in time for this essential piece of marathon viewing.
The other intended Netflix series – namely AKA Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage, and The Defenders – will follow at rough one-year intervals approximate. This would place The Defenders in the same year as Avengers: Infinity War Part II.
Starring Charlie Cox as Matt Murdoch/Daredevil, the series “follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.”
It also stars Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson with Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple and Vincent D’Onofrio as Wilson Fisk.Netflix
