“The rumours are true,” announced Constantine star Matt Ryan via Twitter. “John is coming to Star City. I’ll see you this Fall.”
To the squeeing delight of fans of Constantine, which was not renewed by NBC for a second season this year, the character will be making a cameo this year in the fourth season of CW’s ARROW. The episode will be titled “Haunted,” and following the The CW’s TCA presentation today, we get a description of how the mystical con-man will fit into the world of Arrow:
John Constantine is a weather worn exorcist and expert on the supernatural and the occult. He is a detective, magician, and a hunter of demons, and will provide critical support to Oliver when arrows aren’t enough.
With Amell announcing at Comic-Con International in San Diego that his new-look costume will mean that “Green Arrow” will feature this year, rather than monikers that have been skirting around the edges, perhaps the CW are taking a leaf out of The Flash‘s playbook and heading deeper into comic book territory.
Speaking of THE FLASH heading deeper into comic book territory, the teaser poster released for the second season not only gives us our first look at Teddy Sears as Jay Garrick, the original comic book Flash, but pay tribute to one of the most important comics of all time: The Flash #123. In essence, it’s the comic that established the DC Multiverse.
