Paramount Pictures Australia has announced that Megan Fox and Will Arnett (i.e. the humans) are headed to Sydney to show their new film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at a special green carpet event on Sunday 7th September.
Despite incredibly poor reviews, currently sitting at 21% on the all-important Rotten Tomatoes, the Michael Bay produced film opened to #1 at the U.S. box office with a USD$65 million opening weekend and still remains in the #1 position, albeit with Guardians of the Galaxy holding a close second.
According to the synopsis, “The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.” It’s directed by Jonathan Liebesman.
Fans will get the chance to see the stars walk the carpet at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park from 2.00pm. Limited tickets to attend the screening will be available to purchase from hoyts.com.au.
