We love Oz Comic-Con. You can tell because we keep turning up to them. So you can imagine how excited we are that Australia’s best ‘Con is coming to our home town of Sydney, and to our Brisbanian cousins in north. It’s more fun than a banana sandwich in your duffle coat. (If that doesn’t sound fun, think of a fun thing and substitute that in your coat pocket).
Seriously though: where else in Australia are you going to see William Shatner (yes, the William Shatner), the voices of Winnie the Pooh and Goofy, get your work appraised by Marvel talent scout C.B. Cebulski, sit down with a variety of local writers and artists who are producing world-class comics, or find one of fifty Harley Quinns, Poison Ivys or the cast of Frozen to take selfies with? Apart from the Oz Comic-Con shows in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne? Nowhere, is the answer. So do yourself the biggest favour every, move your mouse finger slightly to the right and buy some tickets for the Sydney or Brisbane shows.
If that’s not incentive enough, the entire Behind the Panels team will be there all weekend to chat with listeners and readers, and maybe (just maybe) you might catch a glimpse of the finest beards in this big, flat country of ours. Stop faffing and start Oz Comic-Con buying. NOW.
Here’s some of that official press stuff:
