Habitual tweeter and X-Men: Days of Future Past director Bryan Singer has confirmed the presence of actor Lucas Till in the next X-Men film when he posted a photo of the character this morning.
With a caption that simply reads “Mankind must put an end to war before war puts an end to mankind”, attributed to John F. Kennedy, this would appear to be a reference to the Vietnam War. Given that the film is primarily set in 1973, albeit with a time travel motif taken from the classic Chris Claremont arc, it would make sense that the older Summers boy might just be going off to war.
Until recently, the only other X-Men: First Class cast members officially mentioned were James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult. The film will also star Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry,Peter Dinklage, Anna Paquin, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Booboo Stewart, Evan Peters, Omar Sy, and Fan Bingbing.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is set for released on 23 May 2014 from Fox.
