Since we last heard from Alan Moore, he has gone from “simple-minded, backwoodsman” to cat-stroking super villain and “renegade genius”. In a new video, he’s still plugging his latest Kickstarter campaign to complete the Jimmy’s End cycle of films directed by Mitch Jenkins with His Heavy Heart.
If Moore’s mission was to endear himself to us, then it’s already a successful campaign. At the time of publication, Moore has already achieved over £15,000 of his £45,000 goal. About £60 of that is ours, so if you’re a fan of his work, and you want to see more Moore, then go ahead and kick in what you can. For as little as £3, you can get a Jimmy’s End pub mat.
Here’s the official word on the project and how you can support it:

Writer Alan Moore is best known for his ground breaking graphic novels including Watchmen, V for Vendetta, From Hell and League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. Mitch Jenkins is an award winning photographer who’s worked with Alan since collaborating on the Dodgem Logic series of magazines.
On 17th June 2013 they launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund their new short film, His Heavy Heart. This will be the final instalment in the Jimmy’s End cycle of films – a semi-fictional world created by celebrated writer and cult hero Moore and bought to life director Jenkins. Notably the project is Moore’s first work written specifically for the screen and made with his blessing and ongoing creative involvement.
The first four instalments, starring Siobhan Hewlett (Sherlock, Torchwood) and Darrell D’Silva (RSC, Dirty Pretty Things), have been shot, edited and completed.
