At the Comic-Con International in San Diego on Saturday evening, Fox revealed the first footage from X-Men: Days of Future Past, along with several key plot details of the adaptation of the classic Chris Claremont run.
Bryan Singer took the stage to show footage (in 3D no less) from X-Men: Days of Future Past, before he was joined by the massive line-up of Omar Sy, Ellen Page, Shawn Ashmore, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Shawn Ashmore, Evan Peters, Nicholas Hoult and Peter Dinklage.
Footage of X-Men: Days of Future Past was shown, revealing plot details. Wolverine is sent to the past in his own body, where he encounters a different Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), President Nixon and a secret door in the Oval Office and Bishop (played by Omar Sy). A final shot in the footage showed McAvoy and Stewart interacting, with the elder Xavier imploring “Please, we need you to hope again.”
Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold took the stage earlier in the panel to promote The Wolverine to audiences, along with a Matt Reeves for Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.
