Marvel Studios has confirmed the casting of Corey Stoll as Yellowjacket and Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne in Peyton Reed’s Ant-Man.
Undoubtedly one of the most highly anticipated panels of Comic-Con International in San Diego, Marvel delivered to reported 6500 fans in attendance at Hall H. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige took to the stage, before bringing on Peyton Reed, Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas to promote next year’s Ant-Man.
According to Douglas, Stoll’s Darren Cross has taken Hank Pym’s company in an evil direction, so he recruits Rudd’s Scott Lang to be the new Ant-Man. He also confirms that there is a heist, and Pym acts as Lang’s mentor.
“We’ve been fans of Evangeline for years, and couldn’t be more pleased that she’s agreed to join us on Ant-Man’s journey to the big screen,” said Feige. “We look forward to audiences learning more about her character when she joins forces with Hank Pym and Scott Lang in 2015.
Ant-Man hits cinemas in 17 July 2016 from Disney.
