There’s been lots of television news this week, with Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. opening to 12.12 million viewers, the highest network debut in four years. We also heard word that Constantine and Batman-inspired Gotham will be making their way to network TV over the next few years. A flurry of announcements and clips have now followed, including Arrow and The Walking Dead casting.
In the first clip from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s second episode (“0–8–4”) Skye officially joins the team–and Agents Ward and May aren’t too happy about it
Dylan Neal, best known for his roles on The Bold and the Beautiful and Dawson’s Creek, has been cast as Dr. Anthony Ivo in the fifth episode of Arrow‘s second season. Screen Crush reveals that the character will appear in the island flashback sequences, as part of a four-episode arc. In the comics, Ivo is one of the major villains of the DCU, and the inventor of the power-imitating robot Amazo. While it is unlikely that the show will go down that path, he will be part of an expanded cast that will include Michael Jai White as the villain Bronze Tiger, Cynthia Addai-Robinson as Amanda Waller, Kevin Alejandro as Sebastian Blood, Caity Lotz as Black Canary, Grant Gustin as The Flash and Bex Taylor-Klaus as Sin.
Finally, Deadline reports that Alanna Masterson has been added to the growing cast of The Walking Dead‘s fourth season. There is no word on which character she will be playing, but the source guesses that it might be Tara Chalmers, introduced quite recently in the comic books.
