A short while ago, DC Entertainment announced the Necessary Evil: Super-Villains of DC Comics documentary, highlighting the bad guys we love to hate. Now on the eve of Comic Con International in San Diego, a trailer has been released.
Everybody loves a good villain, right? Indeed, we often root for them more than the heroes, depending on the book. Our fascination comes from their ability to act with impunity, a secret desire many of us would share. As Dan Didio comments in the trailer, “The hero has to win every time. The villain only has to win once.”
In addition to looking at the comics, animated series and film representations of these iconic villains, the documentary is set to contain interviews with folks like Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro.
Necessary Evil arrives on Blu-Ray and DVD from Warner Home Video and DC Comics on October 25, 2013.
