Dark Horse unveils trailer for ‘Prometheus: Fire and Stone’ crossover

Prometheus: Fire and Stone

Earlier in the year, it was announced that writers Chris Roberson, Joshua Williamson, Paul Tobin, Christopher Sebela and Kelly Sue DeConnick will join forces on a crossover between Dark Horse‘s 20th Century Fox licences Aliens, Predator and Prometheus. Now the publisher has released a trailer for the first issue of the series, Prometheus: Fire and Stone from Tobin and artist Juan Ferreyra.

When the Prometheus never returned from her fateful journey to LV-223, the questions surrounding the origins of man went unanswered. Now a new team of explorers seeks to uncover the dark mystery that holds not only the fate of the original mission, but possibly their own damnation.

All of the writers are based in Portland, Oregon and as Tobin explain in the video, this has helped create those interconnecting links between their series. DeConnick goes on to talk about how the character of Angela serves as their “Ripley”-esque character, a driven individual who is hampered by her evangelism for the Corporation.

Prometheus: Fire and Stone, Aliens: Fire and Stone, AVP: Fire and Stone and Predator: Fire and Stone will be published on an 8-week cycle, with a new issue of one of the titles released every 2 weeks. Each of the stories will share characters and concepts, and it will all be tied up in a fifth one-shot at the end of the run.

Prometheus: Fire and Stone is released on 10 September 2014 from Dark Horse.
