Oz Comic-Con 2014 has added another international comics star to the inaugural Sydney and Brisbane shows in September this year.
Although inspired by Jim Lee’s Uncanny X-Men art at an early age, Freddie E. Williams has been working almost exclusively for DC Comics since 2005, when he was hired at San Diego Comic-Con for some of Grant Morrison’s Seven Soldiers. Williams is best known for his extensive work as the regular artist on Robin from 2006.
Williams has also grabbed attention for work on JSA Allstars, and helped shape the New 52 as the initial artist on Green Arrow. He has most recently worked with Gail Simone on The Movement, which has unfortunately come to an end following an announcement today.
He will join the Oz Comic-Con 2014 guests that include (across the various states) William Shatner, Billy Piper, Shannen Doherty, Brian Krause, Holly Marie Combs, Bill Farmer, Booboo Stewart, Nana Visitor, David Nykl, Jason Momoa, Amanda Tapping, Gigi Edgley, Chris Judge, Robert Maschio, Corin Nemec, Eddie McClintock, Mike McFarland, Paul Eiding, Daniel Cudmore, Bobby Curnow, Tristan “T-Rex” Jones, Nicola Scott, Brad Walker, Jon Sommariva, Doug Holgate, Paul Abstruse, Georges Jeanty, David Yardin, Dean Rankine, Agnes Garbowska, Jim Cummings and Rodger Bumpass.
