Green Arrow fans will know that it was only a matter of time before Arrow‘s Roy Harper (played by Colton Haynes) would become the full-time sidekick to the Emerald Archer. Now The CW (via EW) has released the first photo of the actor in his full red hooded costume. It looks like he’s skipped being Speedy and gone straight to Arsenal.
In a recent interview with THR, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg hinted at some of the things to come in Roy’s journey. Following Thea’s departure from Starling City at the end of Season 2, Roy isn’t taking her disappearance well. “Roy knows why she left and Oliver doesn’t, so that’ll play an interesting part in the Oliver-Roy-Thea dynamic.”
Arrow – Season 3 debuts on The CW on Wednesday 7 October 2014 in the US. No word on an Australian release date, with the second season still doing the limbo on local screens.
